Direct Vision Standard (DVS)

Whether you are a private or Fleet operator , Insurer, Underwriter, Broker HPC’s robust installation standards & customer satisfaction sign off procedures ensure all DVS-compliant VRU detection driver alert system are installed, tested and fully commissioned with confirmation of the camera view on the driver monitor switching to meet our clients exacting standards and specification to ensure the equipment performs when it’s needed to record exactly what happened before, during and after an incident ready to be shared with an insurance company, authorities or 3^rd parities. HPC are fully competent in the installation of FORS.

From March 1st, 2021, all commercial vehicles  over 12 tonnes gross vehicle weight need to hold a valid permit to operate in Greater London 24 hours a day, seven days a week with failure to comply resulting in a financial making it unlawful to operate within this zone with a valid permit.

DVS objective is to create a level playing across all manufactures vehicles by measuring  the driver’s direct view through the vehicles windows of the HGV cab and then issuing  a star rating from zero (poor) to five (excellent), which indicates the level of risk to pedestrians or cyclist in close proximity to the a vehicle.
