What data do we collect?

Minimal personal data is provided to us from our partner companies; this data is limited to:

  • Your full name
  • Address where the work will be carried out
  • Contact email address
  • Contact phone number or numbers
  • Basic vehicle information: registration, make, model and year of manufacture

This data may be updated by you during the Online Booking process if you require us to attend a different installation address OR you are required to provide updated contact email and phone number. Data captured will never exceed the information listed above.

What is your data used for?

Your information is solely used for the purpose of provide installation and service work, either on behalf of one of our partner companies OR at direct request from you. This includes sending you email and SMS messages to confirm installation / service processes, contacting you directly by phone if required and using your full name, installation address and vehicle details to arrange work and confirm we are carrying out any work correctly and efficiently.

What is your data not used for?

We never use your data for anything other than carrying out installation or service work. Your data is not used by us for any marketing or advertising purposes. Your data is never shared with any third party for any other purpose than to carry out a professional job of work.

Who is your data shared with?

We partner with a third-party company to provide our Online Booking service; this third party adhere to HPC’s level of standard when it comes to your personal information. Our third party will never capture or store any additional information throughout the data’s lifecycle; once we remove data from our system, it will also be removed from our third-party systems. If we are carrying out installation or service work on behalf of one of our partner companies, then we may share updated personal information with them if it is required to carry out the work.

Storing your data

Unless there is a legal retention period for the work we are carrying out, we will only keep your data for as long as we need to carry out the initial work or any further work that results as part of your warranty period. If you are accessing our services through one of our partner companies, they may define a different retention period; we recommend that you have read their privacy policies and understand this retention policy. We may be asked to remove personal data after a defined period and then remove all data after another defined period.

We operate in the UK and ROI (Republic of Ireland), and store data in UK based datacentres. Therefore your data is always confined to the EEA (European Economic Area) in accordance with EU GDPR regulation.

HPC’s security and network team understand the importance of your data security and have industry standard practices applied to the handling and storing of all your personal data.

Your rights

  • Right to be informed – You can request further detailed information about how your data in collected, processed, stored, and removed if this policy does not provide the information you are looking for
  • Right of access – You can request a copy of all the information we have on record for you and how it has been used i.e. work carried out and contact messages sent
  • Right of rectification – If you believe any data to be inaccurate, you can request to have this data updated
  • Right to data portability – When appropriate, you can request all personal information we have on record for you for your own personal use across different services. Data should be structured in an accessible manor in a commonly used format
  • Right of erasure – When appropriate, you can request that all personal data is completely removed from HPC’s and our third party’s systems
  • Right to restrict processing – When appropriate, you can request that all processing of your personal data is temporarily suspended. This may mean HPC’s ability to carry out work will be suspended
  • Right to object – Where data is used for any other purpose other than to allow HPC to carry out installation and service work, you can object to this processing. Please note, we do not use your data for anything other than to carry out the installation or service work
